Seed catalogs have arrived, the weather is unseasonably warm, and I’m dreaming of getting back outside and working our little piece of land.
There will be tomatoes and peppers and eggplant, oh yes! And this year will also bring cucumbers – proper cucumbers, not those nasty pickling cucumbers – and I’m planning my first ever season for sweet potatoes! My grandfather always teases about growing potatoes… something about how you do all this work to grow and dig them up when you can go to the store and buy a bag for a few bucks.
It’s still too early to start my seeds, but you can bet I’m counting down to mid February!
