Germany socks

socks

Photographing socks is hard. I never know whether I should take a picture of them on, or if I should lay them flat and photograph them, or what else to do. Attempting to get a photo of me wearing them at 6 months pregnant is a bit of a challenge, too. But, here they are. Pattern is Socks for Euni, yarn is some lovely sock yarn my friend brought back from her Germany trip last summer (yes, I do realize what an awesome friend I have!).

I’m getting a lot of knitting done lately, though I’m not really feeling in the mood for it. I’m not on bed rest but after a scare two weeks ago, and then a lecture from my midwife last week, I’m being forced to “take it easy” – which is really not in my nature whatsoever. And I’m noticing that I physically cannot handle the same workload I used to be able to. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel so… useless. My mind and energy levels say I can do everything I need to do… my body smacks me back to reality after about an hour or two. So I sit, sit, and sit some more. And I knit until I can’t stand it anymore. It’s not the way I want to spend my time, especially with feeling like there is so much to do still before August, but it’s how it has to be this summer. Slow and easy.

  1. Oh I love your socks! I think it will be my next sock project!
I love your pose, I think it’s a very pretty way to show of your socks. I might copy you if you don’t mind.
Happy sunday to you! Take care.
